Wow, we had 75 people at our author event for Steph Rische’s book - I Was Blind (Dating) But Now I See, which is all about life in the singles lane.  A few of us started noodling about how a bookstore is the perfect place to meet-cute when you’re interested in the carpool lane.  I mentioned that I have a gabillion ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies, or books in their almost-ready-for publication form) that publishers send so that we booksellers can stay up to speed on new releases.  Noodle, noodle.  Lightbulb!  A new event — Blind Date With a Book was born!  All you need to do, you gorgeous singles you, is show up. We will arrange the ARCs so that there is plenty to chat about, and put out some snacks and bevs too.  So ladies and gentlemen, come on over and meet some new folks at Prairie Path Books, take home some new reads, and have a terrific evening.  Oh, and go ahead and forward this to any sons, grandsons, nephews, brothers, colleagues and neighbors you know ... I promise Jenny and I will make it an easy great time.
