Springy Updates, New News and a Walk-through

Happy spring weather my friends! I've been sitting out on our Willow Avenue porch myself, and I just would not have believed that was possible in February. We've been open for a month in our new location, and we have some appealing news. There's a yummy video for you to watch, too:

  • We've rearranged our insides and gussied up our PPB Willow porch for you to come over and dwell. We mean it - come say hi and give a browse, but it's no matter if today is the day you're making a purchase. We love to welcome fellow book lovers to our gorgeous space. Now our oven's in, we are offering coffee and baked goods - not for sale, just for you to enjoy or so you can bring a friend. How delightful to have a community house here in Wheaton;

  • We've launched a 50% off "Once Read" books program; watch the video for deets and email or call with questions — but the gist is we are offering quite new books at 50% off because to re-use is a virtue; and last —

  • I have listened to your feedback on the new Champagne & Daffodils format (which required a $50 store credit advance payment), and it seems folks want to attend but do not want to commit to buying. Folks, I need y'all to buy at least some of your books from me, or I can't make it, and that's the simple truth.

    For now, with a rather heavy heart, I've adjusted the Daffodils ticket back to $15 to attend and 15% off on the day of the event (Sunday, April 21, 2-3:30 p.m.), and you can always support PPB online by ordering from Bookshop so you'll get the books delivered straight to your door.

*Our space is cozier, so tickets to Daffodils will go fast. If you miss out and would like a private party of 10 or so committed fans of local business, I’ll be happy to host. We’re going to a store credit model for the ticket price to keep things worthwhile from a business perspective. Thanks!
