I re-read Louisa May Alcott’s “Little Women” in a Michigan cottage when I was the mother of three very small children. Jo’s sister Meg described herself as the “sunshine maker” for her growing family, and that really resonated. I wanted to create simple, magical moments like Meg March described, with very little money but lots of love. When I found Jenny Rosenstrach’s book “How To Celebrate Everything” I was transported to that Michigan cottage moment, because it’s all here. So many simple and inexpensive ways to bring family comfort, connection and meaning to the everyday -- especially around the holidays.
