The Will of the People: Readings in American Democracy

Will.jpg

When was the last time you read the Declaration of Independence?  In the Hamilton craze, have you perused the Federalist papers?  Did you even know there was a second Declaration in 1848 penned and signed by women?  In this exciting new offering from Prairie Path Books, we will read these original documents and many others and discuss them using the Shared Inquiry model developed by the Great Books Foundation at University of Chicago.  The course will include a trained facilitator, a resource book available through PPB and a new appreciation of our country’s history.  Meetings will be held Wednesday evenings from 6:30 -8:00 and can be attended individually or as an entire 9 month endeavor.

Wednesday, September 19:  Declaration of Independence

Wednesday, October 17:  The Federalist Papers
