Even though so many of you PPB readers are mothers, you don't really shop for YOURSELVES for the big day on Sunday, now do you??
I know you so well, I could totally make smashing matches for you with wonderful books and gifts — and I am more than happy to if you want to send your offspring my way. I always think that the most wonderful gift or card shows that you really put some thought into it, and even if what your kids mostly know is that "mom likes to read," that's saying a lot. They are paying attention and there's no shame in getting a little help from PPB to get just the right book/mom-match. Yesterday in the store, I took pictures of some of my recommendations for Mom's Day to help your kids along; you'll find them at the bottom.
As for the Koropps, I have to thank my kids once again for coming through for me and PPB: my Hannah is away at college, but Emma and Tom will be here on Sunday with me, working at Prairie Path Books. Their support and presence in this new adventure in my life is the best gift I could ever receive (except, kids, for one of those long hand-written notes on a card where you list all the things you admire and appreciate about me). I will urge your offspring to write one too, if they contact me! Just for fun, I've included a photo here of my 3 beasties from last summer, because they remind me what's important in life, plus, they crack me up. Enjoy the day, however you spend it, friends.
Below are some of our Mom's Day suggestions. Shipping is also available, just ask. See you soon, everyone.
